Maximise Potential!


An increasing number of organisations (including schools)  are using coaching as a learning and development tool to maximise the performance of individual staff and teams. The ICF Report 'Building a Coaching Culture' (2014) listed the Top 5 reasons for accessing coaching as:-

* Improve Decision Making

* Increase Productivity

* Increase Employee Engagement

And now for the serious answer to that question!

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as ' partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential'


Typically a coach will meet with a client for a series of pre-booked coaching appointments. Each appointment lasting anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours. Coaching sessions may continue over a period of 3 to 12 months . These can be conducted face to face, via SKYPE or telephone. 

  • Coaching is goal oriented and a future focussed discipline. Coaches use a range of tools and techniques with their clients which, when coaching is successful, leads to a range of outcomes such as:-

  • Clearly defined goals for personal and professional life

  • A plan for reaching these goals and overcoming any perceived hindrances

  • Improved skill performance - many people enter coaching in order to be a better 'leader, communicator, manager' for example

  • Confident transition from one phase of life to another - for example promotion at work, retirement

  • Enhanced personal skills - for example assertiveness, self-esteem, team work

  • Decreased levels of stress and increased feelings of well-being and positivity
